Kirkland’s is a national home decor retailer with 434 stores in 37 states and an e-commerce website.


Kirkland’s needed our help opening 45 new stores annually in markets all across the country. In some cases, Kirkland’s moved from an enclosed mall to a strip mall in the same market. In other cases, Kirkland’s moved into a new city.

Store sales increased as much as 100%, compared to a control standard, following the national PR campaign I created.

The campaign featured interior designers solving consumer home decor problems.

We generated local TV, digital and social media coverage in advance of each store grand opening.

We asked consumers to stop by the store with their smartphones and show the designer photos of the home decor problem they were trying to solve. The designer showed customers the merchandise they could purchase to make their home beautiful.
