Twitter threats to bomb Auburn’s football stadium, behead coach Gus Malzahn

Auburn police are investigating tweets from a Beverly Hills man named Brad who is threating to bomb Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium and to behead football coach Gus Malzhan, AL.com is reporting.

One tweet, reportedly from @bhayes4420 on Oct. 5, makes a threat about using a C-4, which is a plastic explosive. The alleged tweet has been deleted.

From Al.com:

“One of the tweets states: ‘I woke up bumbed today bc there are still some Auburn people alive hopefully I can get that C-4 in Jordan Hare to go off.’”

A follow-up tweet responds to the original threat:

Another deleted tweet from @bhayes4420 refers to beheading Auburn head football coach Gus Malzahn:

“Real goal is to be able to chop Gus’s head off on a live YouTube feed ISIS style.”

AL.com has a screenshot of the deleted tweet.

Police are trying to determine if the threats are credible or if they’re just rants from “Brad.” Here’s his Twitter profile photo:

“Even if it isn’t a direct threat, it does become alarming to people, and that is when it becomes our business,” Auburn Police Chief Paul Register told AL.com.
